June 18, 2013 Board Meeting Agenda Item #24 Title APPROVAL OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SARASOTA COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA Description This agreement allows Sarasota County Parks and Recreation to schedule play on the multi-purpose field at Heron Creek Middle School for a four month period, beginning July 1, 2013, during specific hours of the day. The School Board approved a similar agreement last year that allowed Sarasota County Parks and Recreation to respond to the increasing needs of the youth of the City of North Port in a meaningful way.  This agreement will give them the same flexibility this summer. Recommendation That the Interlocal Agreement between Sarasota County Government and the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, be approved as presented.
